Orientation Specialist - EMS
About the position
The Orientation Specialist works directly under the Director of Education assisting with New Hire Orientation classes, as well as continuing education. The Orientation Specialist participates in professional development programs and performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities
• Assist with New Hire Orientation classes.
• Participate in continuing education.
• Occasionally go in service to keep skills sharp.
• Instruct monthly annual refresher courses.
• May be required to work outside the normal schedule.
Requirements
• 4 Years of EMS Experience
• Illinois certified EMT or Paramedic
• Teaching Experience
• Ability to demonstrate and lead all aspects of the EMT or Paramedic job
Nice-to-haves
• AHA Instructor credentials (BLS)
• PHTLS instructor certification within 1 year
• PEPP instructor certification within 1 year
• GEMS instructor certification within 1 year
• Illinois Primary Instructor within 1 year
