Position: AI Annotation Expert Type: Hourly contractor Compensation: $40/hour Location: Remote Duration: 4–5 weeks Commitment: Up to 40 hours/week Role Responsibilities • Analyze short video clips and images to produce structured annotations capturing subjects, objects, environments, audio cues, temporal dynamics, mood, and storytelling elements. • Collaborate directly with Mercor’s project leads to enhance AI systems' understanding of complex visual and narrative information. • Apply judgment to decide attributes that best describe scenes and express subtle narrative or emotional cues. • Document findings clearly and follow precise instructions while quickly adopting new requirements. • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve AI model performance. Qualifications Must-Have • Experience in roles like movie producers, film editors, screenwriters, archivists, media analysts, or generalists. • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to follow precise instructions and quickly adopt new requirements.
