It’s for a comms expert – someone who knows what to say, when to say it, and how to get it heard; internally and externally. </p><p>As our Head of Communications, you’ll reshape and deliver how we communicate with potential and existing parents/carers, as well as future and internal colleagues. You’ll manage reputation, boost our visibility, and make sure our messages land with heart and purpose. </p><p>A significant part of this role is focused on external PR for our parent/carer and future colleague audiences. You’ll lead the charge in how we present ourselves to the public, building trust, connection and recognition across our communities. </p><p>This is a brilliant time to join. You’ll have the freedom to reinvent, add new processes and scale; knowing this is all for the children and families we serve. </p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing </strong> </p><ul><li>Be the best writer and our go to comms expert in LEYF </li><li>Collaborate with teams across LEYF – from nurseries to HR. Building deep relationships across a range of people and disciplines – bringing clarity and kindness to every message </li><li>PR – 50% of the role </li><li>Lead our external consumer PR and media strategy to raise awareness among families and future employees </li><li>Find and grow the right media relationships for where our audiences are </li><li>Write standout, newsworthy content that lands with warmth and impact </li><li>Collaborate with our external PR consultant and CEO on brand-level visibility </li><li>Parent Comms<ul><li>Advise on and write parent communications across the business </li> </ul> </li><li>Internal Comms<ul><li>Co-create our internal comms strategy but most importantly deliver it </li><li>Partner with colleagues across the People Team, nurseries and operations to shape strong internal comms </li> </ul> </li><li>Social Media<ul><li>Set the social media direction, deploy your editorial expertise across channels, and keep us focused, timely and on message </li><li>Find and collaborate with suitable influencers </li><li>Align with our recruitment and occupancy marketing leads to connect campaigns across channels </li> </ul> </li><li>Crisis Comms & Govt relations<ul><li>Be the point person in a crisis, with calm, confident response </li><li>Establish government/media contact relationships and work alongside our PR consultant & CEO to amplify our external voice </li> </ul> </li><li>Track, measure and analyse our communication tactics & impact </li><li>Be a brilliant writer – clear, warm and confident </li><li>Have deep comms expertise – PR, internal comms, social, media handling </li><li>You love and are brilliant at PR – especially for the consumer.
