Software Engineer - Intern Conversion

General Dynamics is a leading company in high technology solutions, products, and services for defense and scientific missions. They are seeking a Software Engineer Intern Conversion to develop software solutions for the armed services training community as part of a cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Developing software solutions supporting our armed services training community

Skills

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field
• Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Agile experience preferred
• Coursework/experience in software programming languages such as C/C++ /Java
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows and/or real time OS is desired
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a small team environment
• Experience with C++, Angular, Python, & Java
• Familiarity with the Agile Framework
• Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways
• Collaborative team player eager to provide technical contributions in a group setting
• Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
