Services include comprehensive in-house programs, referral-based support, and capacity building for organizations seeking expertise in LGBTQ cultural competency. Role Description We are seeking a Temporary Contracted Employer Engagement Specialist to support outreach and recruitment of employers for an upcoming job fair scheduled for March. This short-term, part-time role will focus on building relationships with local employers and securing their participation as tabling and hiring partners. The ideal candidate is well-connected, highly organized, and experienced in workforce development or employer relations, particularly within community-based or mission-driven settings. Key Responsibilities • Conduct targeted outreach to employers, businesses, and hiring partners to recruit participation in the upcoming job fair • Secure employer commitments to table and recruit at the event • Communicate event logistics, expectations, and timelines to participating employers • Track outreach efforts, confirmations, and employer engagement status • Collaborate with internal program staff to align employer recruitment with participant needs and program goals • Represent the organization professionally in all external employer communications Required Qualifications • Experience in employer engagement, employer relations, workforce development, business development, or recruitment • Strong professional communication and relationship-building skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment • Reliable follow-through and ability to meet short-term deadlines Preferred Qualifications (Plus) • Experience working with Veterans, LGBTQ+ communities, and/or underserved populations in NYC • Familiarity with the New York City employer landscape and local hiring trends • Experience supporting job fairs, hiring events, or workforce pipelines Additional Details • This is a temporary, contracted position with a limited weekly commitment (3 hours per week) • Compensation is $50/hour • Position is remote, with employer outreach focused on New York City–based businesses Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
