We are seeking a skilled and creative Content Writer/Editor to join the marketing team at J. Frank Schmidt & Son Co. As a leader in the tree nursery industry, we are looking for a talented individual who can create compelling and engaging content that showcases our company and products.In this role, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing various types of content including website copy, blog posts, social media content, and email campaigns. You will also work closely with our design team to ensure that all content is visually appealing and aligns with our brand image.Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to develop original and informative content* Write, proofread, and edit content that follows SEO best practices and meets our company's tone and voice guidelines* Collaborate with our design team to create visually appealing content that incorporates graphics, images, and videos* Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and make recommendations for content ideas that will resonate with our target audience* Manage and maintain a consistent publishing schedule for various platforms, including our website and social media channels* Analyze and report on the performance of content to optimize future content creation and distribution strategiesQualifications: * Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field* 3+ years of experience in content writing and editing, preferably in a marketing or advertising setting* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail* Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices for content creation* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously* Excellent communication and collaboration skillsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as a dynamic and positive work environment.
