Client Accounting Clerk
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is one of the most prestigious law firms in the world, known for handling complex legal issues. They are seeking a Client Accounting Clerk to perform technical and administrative tasks for the Client Accounting Department, providing support to attorneys and business services professionals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates data storage and retrieval for client account related documentation
- Scans documents using the Firm's PDF programs and indexing system
- Retrieves client charges and disbursement back-up using applications such as COOL, Aderant reports and other document archiving systems
- Assists with conducting audits of Aderant Expert Image databases
- Assists with updating and maintaining various reports on a weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timely completion
- Actively seeks to enhance knowledge of all Client Accounting procedures and processes
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others
- Manages Firm resources responsibly
- Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills
- Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates close attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months general experience
