[Remote] Staff Frontend Engineer (Mobile focus)

The Staff Frontend Engineer will take full ownership of feature development across mobile platforms, utilizing a modern tech stack to enhance user experience. Responsibilities • Design, build, and ship features across mobile platforms using React Native and TypeScript • Collaborate directly with designers and fellow engineers to shape features based on user behavior and product goals • Create and maintain a well-structured, reusable component system to ensure design consistency and efficiency across the app • Own app logic, UI interactions, and state management using hooks and modern React patterns • Integrate with backend services via REST and GraphQL • Troubleshoot performance, caching, and socket issues • Contribute to overall codebase quality, tooling, and long-term maintainability Skills • 8+ years of frontend or mobile development experience • 3+ years working with React Native in production • Experienced in TypeScript, hooks, component architecture, and debugging performance issues • Previously worked on a consumer product with millions of users • Enjoy fast-paced teams, autonomy, and shaping product decisions alongside design • Bonus: Started as a native iOS or Android engineer before moving into RN Company Overview • CultureMill Recruiting is an agency that works with venture-backed technology companies and gaming studios throughout the United States.
