ETL Engineer

OneChronos is seeking a software engineer to design and build high-performance data pipelines that support our intraday and end-of-day trading systems. This role focuses on building reliable, low-latency workflows to ensure accurate and timely data for analytics and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance data pipelines that support our intraday and end-of-day trading systems
• Work on the full lifecycle of data ingestion, transformation, and delivery
• Ensure systems have accurate, timely, and consistent data to support mission critical analytics and reporting
• Collaborate closely with engineering and business teams to build performant, fault-tolerant pipelines

Skills

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Passion for the craft of writing high-quality code meant to be read and easily understood by a growing team
• Experience building and maintaining event-driven data pipelines
• Familiarity with distributed streaming architectures, including producer/consumer models, durability, backpressure, and scalability
• Experience in a systems-level programming language (e.g., Rust, C++, Java), with Rust being a plus
• A polyglot mindset
• Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on ensuring correctness, consistency, and reliability
• Comfort working with large-scale data pipelines
• Ability to write clean, well-tested code and collaborate in a highly technical team
• Hands-on experience with production systems and an understanding of operational challenges
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment best practices
