ETL Developer

IMT Insurance is a Midwest company with a rich heritage, offering personal and commercial insurance products. They are seeking an ETL Developer to assist in building and maintaining data pipelines for reporting and analytics, while learning ETL tools and concepts under guidance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining ETL processes that load data from various sources into data systems
• Learn how to ensure data quality and accuracy during processing
• Support mapping data between source systems and internal databases
• Work with senior team members to follow standards for building and documenting ETL workflows
• Help test and troubleshoot ETL jobs with supervision
• Participate in team meetings and communicate with colleagues to resolve basic data issues
• Participate in an on-call rotation, with support and supervision, monitoring daily and monthly load processes, to include being available overnight and weekends during assigned timeframes
• Document your work and follow procedures for organizing and managing code and processes
• Support and uphold IMT’s core values in all aspects of work

Skills

• A college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent experience
• Actively listen with strong oral and written communication skills
• Must be detail oriented while maintaining accuracy
• Willingness to learn and grow technical skills in data and ETL development
• Basic understanding of SQL or experience writing queries in coursework, projects, or internships
• Ability to follow direction, manage time, and ask for help when needed
• Team-oriented mindset and eagerness to contribute
• Exposure to data warehouse concepts or cloud-based tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure)
• Familiar with databases like SQL Server, DB2, or others
