[Remote] Materials Engineering/Materials Science - Recent Grad/Full Time (US Person Required)

The Materials Science and Material Engineer role involves applying knowledge in materials science to develop and advance materials integral to products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of materials into products.
Responsibilities
- Impact the development and testing of advanced materials to meet the specific requirements of products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of materials into products
- Conduct research and analysis to identify novel materials, processing techniques, and technologies for future applications
- Develop and maintain relationships with external material suppliers, research institutions, and industry experts
- Implement and manage materials testing and characterization, ensuring materials meet performance and quality standards
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and materials in the field, and recommend their incorporation into product development
Skills
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Materials Engineering or similar field
- Must have graduated or graduating from an accredited college or university between August 2025 and May 2026 and be available to begin full-time work between September 2025 - July 2026
- Must have obtained degree within 12 months of the date of hire
- Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
- Honeywell is currently unable to consider applicants who would require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization for this position. Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and materials analysis techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of material properties, materials characterization, analysis, testing selection, and engineering applications
