Financial Analyst
Fleet Data Centers is a company that designs, builds, and operates mega-scale data center campuses. They are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and procurement controls across their data center development and operations, partnering with various teams to manage budgets and track costs.
Responsibilities
- Gather financial data from multiple systems and prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for management
- Collect, organize, and analyze spend patterns, key metrics, and business performance trends
- Support budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cash-flow updates in partnership with FP&A leadership
- Build working relationships with functional teams (Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting) to understand business drivers and cost impacts
- Manage the purchase order process from creation through fulfillment, ensuring accurate 3-way matching across Procore, NetSuite, invoices, and receipts
- Assist with RFP processes by coordinating submissions, evaluating vendor quotes, and supporting cost/metric comparisons
- Maintain cost trackers, committed-vs-actual reporting, and financial documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Perform variance and financial analysis to highlight insights and support operational decision-making
- Ensure adherence to expense policies and financial controls across projects
- Support continuous improvement, standardization, and automation of financial processes and reporting workflows
- Complete ad hoc analysis, special projects, and cross-functional financial support as assigned
Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
- Basic understanding of GAAP and financial statements
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis & reporting (or a related role)
- Experience or knowledge within the Data Center Construction & Operations/Infrastructure a plus
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written & verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal skills to interact and work with multiple levels and functions within the Company
- Capable of extracting and communicating data with relevant, consumable and actionable takeaways
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs with minimal oversight
- Results-oriented with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with varying timelines
