[Remote] Sales Development Representative - REMOTE
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ACLED is a company focused on corporate licensing and data solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to generate and qualify new business opportunities. This role involves outbound prospecting, early-stage client engagement, and pipeline development to support corporate licensing revenue growth.
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and prioritize target corporate accounts across agreed sectors, geographies, and use cases
- Execute structured outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other appropriate channels
- Manage and respond to inbound corporate licensing inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Build a strong understanding of ACLED’s data, products, and commercial use cases to effectively engage prospects
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity and interactions in the CRM systems
- Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, use cases, and decision-making processes
- Qualify opportunities against agreed internal criteria and assess commercial potential
- Clearly and confidently communicate ACLED’s value proposition and differentiate it from alternative data providers
- Book qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the Head of Corporate Licensing or other senior sales team members
- Support early-stage deal progression through follow-ups and coordination where appropriate
- Meet or exceed clearly defined KPIs related to outreach activity, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution
- Manage time and priorities effectively in a remote working environment
- Track performance and conversion metrics to support continuous improvement
- Take ownership of individual targets and contribute to overall corporate licensing revenue goals
- Work closely with the Head of Corporate Licensing to align prospecting efforts with broader sales strategy and priorities
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to leverage campaigns, content, and events for lead generation
- Coordinate with Analysis and Data teams to ensure accurate and responsible positioning of ACLED’s data
- Provide feedback on market trends, prospect objections, and competitive dynamics
Skills
- 1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a similar commercial role (B2B preferred)
- Highly motivated and growth oriented
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working to targets and being measured against clear performance KPIs
- Organized, proactive, and well suited to work effectively in a remote setting
- Interest in global affairs, political risk, security, ESG, or data-driven decision-making is an advantage
- Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools is desirable
