Electrical Engineer I

Westinghouse Electric Co is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer to support their mission of providing clean energy solutions. The role involves working independently on engineering design for nuclear products, focusing on electrical system design, instrumentation, and controls design while developing engineering design documents.

Responsibilities

• Use Software Packages like Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice or equivalent
• Learn new software packages
• Provide engineering design like electrical system design, instrumentation and controls (I&C) designs, and system wiring
• Work w/ our teams on similar engineering level to obtain necessary information
• Plan and scheduling work to meet requirements
• Use standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required; 2025 & 2026 graduates encouraged to apply
• Minimum GPA 3.0
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Willing to travel to client sites
