Job Description
Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD methodologies
Exert technical influence to improve the reliability and performance of our products and systems
Assist Product Engineering teams in building out infrastructure for prototypes and other Research & Development efforts
Operate development and high-availability production environments in Amazon Web Services
Coach and mentor other engineers and teams on cloud best practices
Work collaboratively with other staff including product managers, data scientists, other data analysts, architects to solve problems, develop innovative approaches, and provide project status

Qualifications
BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent industry technical skills
5+ years of work experience in a SaaS production environment, ideally Enterprise
Experience in building scalable platform software using Kubernetes, Docker, and other Cloud native technologies
Strong experience using public cloud providers, preferably AWS
Strong understanding of networking and security fundamentals
Comfort with Linux system administration and scripting, e.g. Python, Shell
Experience with designing, analyzing and solving problems for large-scale distributed systems
Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong communication skills, able to convey technical concepts and architectures across a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working with globally distributed teams, with an emphasis on strong written communication for asynchronous collaboration
Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing data/ai/ml pipelines for reliability and performance
Exposure to Predictive Models and ML training & Serving systems
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000 - $250,000 . Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan. In addition, some roles may be eligible for the annual company bonus plan, commissions, and/or long term incentive awards which are contingent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, company and employee performance.
