We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Scientific & Regulatory Affairs Manager for Australia & New Zealand (ANZ). Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Director for APAC & ANZ, this role will lead the Scientific & Regulatory Affairs (SRA) function for ANZ. This includes ensuring compliance of all products to local regulations and internal policies/guidelines, compliance of innovation products and also being part of External Engagement on regulatory developments by acting as the company representative in related industrial and governmental organisations. What we are looking for is somebody who has worked in this space previously, and who has very strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills; to navigate the internal and external regulatory environment. Responsibilities About the Role: Ensure compliance of all products to local regulations and internal policies/ guidelines , compliance of innovation products and also being part of External Engagement on regulatory developments by acting as company representative in related industrial and governmental organizations. Track regulatory developments, run impact assessments, and implement new regulatory guidelines and protocols for PepsiCo ANZ Food, Beverage and Import businesses, and focus to improve SRA effectiveness and efficiency. Represent PepsiCo SRA across ANZ, on functional committees, and in industry and scientific associations, with an ongoing collaboration with external stakeholders to have favourable and science base regulations. Partner with ANZ R&D team, providing SRA insight to ensure innovation strategies factor in regulatory restrictions and opportunities, Coordinate and build robust regulatory applications for new approvals and extended usage approvals for ingredients/ food contact materials when needed Manage any Regulatory opportunities in ANZ through participating in the Crisis Management team, engaging with regulatory/enforcement authorities, and taking actions to mitigate potential risks to the business Qualifications About you: A minimum of 7 years in an R&D functional role (Product and Packaging Development, Regulatory, Quality, or Food Safety disciplines) 7+ years of ANZ SRA experience A proven track record of effective internal and external engagement, with strong negotiation and influencing skills Degree qualified in a technical discipline (Food Science, Toxicology, Biochemistry) is required Strong verbal and written competence For you: We offer a competitive benefits package Access generous leave options (e.g. wellness, birthday, volunteer, purchase additional leave/cash out leave, 16 weeks parental leave for primary and secondary carer with no serving period) We understand that bringing the best version of yourself to work means looking after yourself holistically.
