Healthcare API developer ( Electronic Health Records (EHR)
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare RESTful API Developer to build and maintain secure, scalable APIs for our web application focused on Electronic Health Records (EHR). The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing RESTful services that handle patient data, medical records, appointments, prescriptions, and clinical workflows while following healthcare compliance and security best practices.
You will work closely with frontend developers and product teams to ensure smooth data exchange, high performance, and reliable integrations.
In this role, you will develop APIs similar to those used in EHR systems such as Epic,
Cerner, or OpenEMR, including endpoints for patient profiles, visit records, lab results,
and provider notes. Familiarity with FHIR/HL7 standards, authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and secure data handling is highly preferred. Experience integrating third-party healthcare services, maintaining API documentation, and optimizing APIs for scalability and compliance (HIPAA-aware development) will be a strong plus.
