Legal Nurse Consultant Remote Contract Active Registered Nurse Licensure Required

Legal Nurse Consultant (Remote, Contract) We are seeking an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant to support vocational counselors and life care planners through comprehensive medical record review, research, and case preparation. This is a remote, part-time role with flexible hours. Responsibilities • Prepare, organize, and quality-check medical records for use by vocational counselors and life care planners • Assist with discovery responses, including obtaining documentation related to medical procedures and protocols • Prepare client status reports for counselors and life care planners • Draft correspondence and reports, and communicate with clients to provide updates or request additional medical information • Conduct ongoing research related to medical diagnoses, treatments, and interventions as cases develop • Obtain relevant medical literature and prepare summaries explaining how it applies to case issues • Research credentials of potential medical expert witnesses and make initial contact to assess availability and interest • Review and analyze opposing expert witness publications, highlighting pertinent information for attorneys • Prepare medical records for use as trial exhibits Requirements • Active Registered Nurse licensure • Prior experience as a practicing Legal Nurse Consultant Preferred Qualifications • Experience in an acute care healthcare setting • Master's degree in nursing • Certified Life Care Planner credential Compensation • Hourly rate between $75 and $150, based on licensure and certifications Work Structure • Remote, 1099 contract position • Flexible schedule • Typically 10–20 hours per week, with some variation based on caseload Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
