Mechanical Engineer

They are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join their Kinetics Group, where the candidate will contribute to the analysis and design of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Machinery Analysis and Design: Collaborate with the engineering team to contribute to the analysis and design of mechanical systems, ensuring they meet performance and safety standards
- Technical Writing: Utilize technical writing skills to effectively communicate analysis results and recommendations. Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- CAD Software Proficiency: Utilize 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks, to create mechanical designs. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in translating concepts into detailed engineering drawings
- Critical Thinking: Demonstrate the ability to think critically and methodically when evaluating mechanical systems. Attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot is crucial when identifying and resolving potential issues
- Field Work and Observation: Occasionally travel to perform field work, conduct on-site assessments, and gather data for analysis. This may involve working in various environments to assess the performance of machinery and systems
- Collaboration: Work closely with the senior engineering team to research applicable industry codes and standards, review project documentation, and prepare presentations, field notes, and technical reports to support forensics findings
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
- Strong interest in machinery design and analysis
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Inventor or Solidworks
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to travel for field work and observations
- Masters preferred
