Commercial Service Technician
DFW Security is seeking a Commercial Service Technician responsible for service calls of alarm, camera, and access control systems in various building constructions. The role involves traveling frequently to assist in customer service and engineering tasks related to security systems.
Responsibilities
- Running service calls on existing customers systems
- Assisting Customer Service team with answering service-related questions
- Ability to wire and diagnose issues with access control systems
- Assisting Engineering team on pre-site walk thru to determine supplies needed for installation
- IP configuration on camera systems
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and wiring schematics/diagrams
- Ability to navigate CRM software system for important job details
- Ability to operate Surface Tablet
Skills
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Working knowledge of security, surveillance and access control software applications
- Must know how to program DSC NEO and Qolsys systems with knowledge of Alarm.com software
- Ability to wire and diagnose issues with access control systems
- IP configuration on camera systems
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and wiring schematics/diagrams
- Ability to navigate CRM software system for important job details
- Ability to operate Surface Tablet
- Traveling 50%-75% of the time
