American Chemical Society is a leading scientific society publishing numerous peer-reviewed journals. They are seeking a Front End Developer Intern responsible for developing and implementing user interface components while collaborating with the design team to create functional web applications.
Responsibilities
- Front end development
- Collaborate with the design team to implement new features
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- Assist in the development of new user-facing features
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
- Work with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
- Conduct research and analysis to identify and resolve complex technical issues
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices
- Collaboration with editorial, production, and data teams on experiments to improve copyediting automation
Skills
- Currently pursuing a major Computer Science
- Pursuing a Masters/PhD in Computer Science
