Contract Opportunity: Proposal & Grant Writer (As-Needed / Immediate Project) Engagement Type: Contract / Freelance (Hourly or Per-Project) Work Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred) Overview We are seeking an experienced Proposal and Grant Writer to support proposal development on an as-needed basis, with an immediate, time-sensitive project currently underway. This initial project involves responding to a public-sector RFP for mental health services delivered via telehealth to K–12 schools. While the current focus is a specific RFP, there is strong potential for ongoing proposal and grant work for the right candidate. Ideal Background & Specialization To be successful in this role, candidates should have direct experience writing proposals within one or more of the following areas: • School-based health care or behavioral health services • Mental health programs, including prevention, intervention, and treatment models • Telehealth or virtual care delivery • Education-sector, county, state, or government-issued RFPs • Nonprofit or public-sector funding environments Familiarity with compliance-driven proposals, outcome reporting, and program narratives tailored to schools or public agencies is essential. Key Responsibilities • Lead writing and development of RFP responses and grant proposals • Quickly review RFP requirements and develop compliant, compelling narratives • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather program details and operational inputs • Manage deadlines and revisions independently • Adapt tone and content for education, healthcare, and government audiences Qualifications • Demonstrated success writing RFPs, RFQs, or grant applications • Strong understanding of school-based or community-based health services • Ability to work efficiently on accelerated timelines • Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills • Experience working on a freelance or contract basis preferred Engagement Details • Immediate start for a current RFP • Flexible structure: hourly or per-project pricing • Remote work • Potential for repeat engagements based on performance and workload How to Respond Interested candidates should provide: • A brief overview of relevant experience • Resume • 1–2 representative writing samples (RFPs or grants preferred) • Rate structure (hourly and/or per-project) Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
