If you are a motivated and customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Job Summary:** As a Dispatcher/Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, dispatching security and police officers to calls for service, and responding to walk-in traffic and clerical work as needed. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences and contributing to the safety and success of our community, we invite you to join our team at arenaflex. **Key Responsibilities:** * Answer multiple phone lines, dispatching security and police officers to calls for service, responding to walk-in traffic, and performing clerical work as needed. * Provide excellent customer-related services to students, faculty, staff, and visitors, including greeting guests, answering phones, processing monetary transactions, and interacting with customers on a daily basis. * Conduct background checks and fingerprinting services, create ID cards for students, faculty, and the public, and provide directions, parking information, and other assistance to our community members. * May assist with patrolling campus and other college-owned property on foot, bike, cart, and/or motor vehicles, unlock/secure buildings/rooms and facilities as directed, and interact positively with campus community members. * Watch for and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations, and contact emergency responders as required. * Remain alert for the presence of unauthorized persons, approach suspicious persons, and notify police as appropriate. * Maintain security controls for issued College keys, safeguard and control issued College equipment, and prepare routine, standardized reports. * Ensure that activity logs are maintained and updated accurately, and perform data entry and data retrieval tasks. **Essential Qualifications:** * At least one year of experience involving substantial public contact. * No criminal record. * Ability to type at least 30 WPM. * Familiarity with computer systems. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working in a security or customer service role. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. * General knowledge of all campus and learning centers (developed after hiring). * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent listening skills, able to relate to and gain the confidence and cooperation of the members of the greater College community. * Ability to make educated, quick decisions, and possess good judgment to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action in a timely manner. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy, and act calmly and rationally in an emergency. **Skills and Competencies:** * Microsoft Office Suite. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Excellent listening skills, able to relate to and gain the confidence and cooperation of the members of the greater College community. * Ability to type 30 WPM accurately. * Possess excellent time management skills. * Capability to make educated, quick decisions. * Requires good judgment to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action in a timely manner. * Ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy, and act calmly and rationally in an emergency. **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
