Staff Accountant - Tax

Campbell Jones Cohen CPAs is a locally owned CPA firm in Las Vegas, serving closely held businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. They are seeking an Entry-Level Tax Accountant to assist with the preparation of tax returns and support tax planning projects while developing tax technical skills under experienced CPAs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns under supervision
• Assist with tax extensions, estimated tax calculations, and related compliance filings
• Organize and review client source documents for completeness and accuracy
• Perform basic tax research and assist with client questions
• Work with senior staff and managers to meet deadlines and firm quality standards
• Use firm software and workflow tools to track assignments and deliverables
• Participate in training, mentoring, and professional development activities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (or near completion)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic accounting concepts
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• 0–2 years of experience in public accounting or relevant internship experience preferred
• Interest in pursuing CPA licensure (CPA exam progress a plus)
