[Remote] Emergency Management Consultant - Remote

As an Emergency Management Consultant, you will support critical emergency management projects aimed at preparing communities for disasters while fostering client relationships and contributing to a collaborative team culture.
Responsibilities
- Support emergency management planning, training, exercises, and outreach based on contractual requirements, while maintaining a healthy timeline, budget, and team environment
- Develop relationships with clients to contribute to solutioning, foster a collaborative team culture, and keep an eye out for opportunities to add value
- Build capabilities in emergency management to enhance service quality and create compelling solutions for clients
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture by asking questions, taking ownership of tasks, and ensuring 360-degree feedback that is timely, candid, and supportive
Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in emergency management
- Experience in response, recovery, mitigation and emergency management planning
- Demonstrated attention to detail, a quick learner, and timeline management experience
- Excellent communication, writing, and facilitation skills
- Proficiency in MS 365 suite
- Reside in AL, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MI, MO, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
- Ability to pass a Federal public trust background check and/or security clearance investigation
- Data analytics experience
- Govcon experience
- Emergency management planning experience, to include EOPs, HMPs, evacuation planning, recovery planning, or after-action reviews
- Experience with community and stakeholder outreach
- Proficiency analyzing and presenting data (e.g., GIS, dashboards)
- Proficiency in graphic design
- Reside in the National Capital Region
- Master's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
