[Remote] Social Media Specialist, Hotels
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Kinship is a company focused on social media marketing for the hospitality industry, and they are seeking a Social Media Specialist. The role involves developing engaging content, managing social media platforms, and fostering connections with partners to enhance brand presence and engagement.
Responsibilities

- Maintain a nuanced understanding of social media networking and content-sharing platforms as well as the latest tools and applications
- Engross yourself in culture, food and travel, becoming an expert in its personalities, products and processes
- Keep up to date on current trends within the represented industries of the agency
- Develop a keen understanding of measurement and reporting tools
- Evaluate and recommend social media software and platforms
- Maintain an understanding of partners’ brand voice and be able to create authentic stories which drive engagement and ultimately revenue for our partners
- Find opportunities to help evolve and share Kinship’s own story in our practices, communications vehicles, relationships, marketing materials, reports and plans as well as live and online presences
- Similarly, work with colleagues to ensure resonant storytelling practices and copy across marketing disciplines
- Serve partners impeccably and look for opportunities to connect with them and to maintain their brand
- Interface with team members in other disciplines for strong coordination of integrated marketing campaigns
- Content creation
- Assist in the creation of monthly content calendars by filling gaps of creative content, video, and other assets
- Own, produce and capture content for monthly photo and video shoots
- Assist in photography and videos needs upon request from Strategists
- Curate user generated content
- Develop IG stories for partners upon request from the Strategists
- Develop narrative on social media sites in order to: promote learning (evoke, position, inform)
- Influence Choices (persuade, direct, incent)
- Enhance (reward, enhance, elicit)
- Facilitate (recognize, enable, simplify)
- Foster connections (create, curate, amplify)
- Serve as an Account Lead for account teams leading integrated marketing and serving as a parter liaison
- Support & monitor partner platforms
- Pay close attention to:
- Audience growth and acquisition
- Social influencer and blogger relations opportunities
- Four wall integration
- Ad spend
- Analytics and optimization
- Assist in creating strategies for proactive outreach and engagement
- Maintain lists of audiences, including relevant businesses, events, etc
- Brainstorm and develop monthly strategy for social media tags and inclusions
- Engage with partners’ social media communities, helping to increase our partners’ online engagement and digital presences
- Respond to comments/mentions on client posts
- Respond to posts/mentions/tags on client platforms
- Respond to direct messages on client platforms
- Respond to check-ins/location tags on client platforms
- Respond to hashtags on client platforms
- Social engagement with earned PR audiences
- Social engagement with event audiences
- Social engagement with neighboring business/location audiences
- Imagine and execute “social moments,” including:
- Opportunities (events, live feeds, programming, takeovers, Insta-meets, and social media-only sales)
- Experiences (content and interactive opps. to engage and inform, curating and amplifying customer content and involve
- Influencers - Develop online influencer programs
- Brainstorm and develop monthly strategy with social media team
- Report overview of social media influencer results with social media team
- Maintain and update Kinship influencer lists
- Assist in securing influencers for partners upon request of the Strategists
- Engage regularly with influencers for each partner
- Send influencer reports to partners after their experience is complete
- Complete monthly Insights reports for partners as requested
- Assist with reporting (content calendars, engagement feedback, influencer reports) as requested
- Perform duties and tasks directed by Senior Leaders
