[Remote] LTD Case Specialist

The LTD Case Specialist role involves managing a caseload of long-term disability claims, determining claims status, and evaluating claimant eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Manages assigned caseload of long-term disability (LTD) claims
- Determines whether to suspend, terminate, or pay claims
- Updates current claims records (inputs data)
- Evaluates claimant eligibility via information received from claimant, attending physician, and employer
- Follows plans to closure
- Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues
- Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years customer service experience
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to think abstractly
- Keyboarding skills
