[Remote] Databricks Data Architect (12 mo. contract)

The Databricks Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that align with organizational goals, focusing on data architecture, governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities • Designing, implementing, and managing data solutions that align with organizational goals • Developing data architecture • Creating data models • Overseeing data governance • Executing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes • Building scalable data warehousing solutions • Collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure optimized data infrastructure and support critical business decisions Skills • Proficiency in Data Architecture, Data Modeling, and Data Governance • Strong expertise in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing • Experience working with Databricks and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered • Hands-on Unity Catalog implementation experience • Delta Lake / medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) • Data governance and access control patterns • Databricks portfolio work / evidence to share • Ability to work, communicate and attend regular meetings during U.S. Eastern time zone hours • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001) is a plus • Experience with AI automation and workflow optimization is an advantage • Financial services experience, particularly in the RIA / wealth advisory space (SEC compliance) • Multi-tenant data isolation experience Company Overview • What Pathwarden does: Cybersecurity & Compliance: Security baselines, risk assessments, policy frameworks, incident response, and compliance readiness (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, cyber-insurance).
