Responsibilities
- Answer over 80 inbound calls per day from patients, doctor's offices, and insurance carriers
- Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances
- Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries during calls
- Maintain performance goals and metrics
- Become proficient with processes after completing a structured training program
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1+ year work experience in a relevant field
- Previous experience in medical billing, customer service, or call center environment preferred
- Experience in a high-volume call environment with multiple computer applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with patients regarding medical information
- Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable
- Previous work experience in insurance claims or EOB processing
- Familiarity with fast-paced environments and multitasking
