Role Overview
eBrands is a global, multi-brand eCommerce and B2B business operating across multiple international markets. We acquire or partner and scale, and operate category-leading brands, selling directly to consumers and through wholesale, distributor, and marketplace channels.
We are seeking a Compliance Officer to own and manage compliance across our diverse brand portfolio, ensuring our products, marketing, data practices, and operations meet regulatory requirements in all regions where we operate. The role will also include some support for IP matters including patent work, trademark and wordmark registration and monitoring of usage to ensure non infringement of these options.
This role is ideal for a compliance professional who enjoys variety, complexity, and autonomy, and who can balance regulatory rigor with commercial practicality in a remote, fast-growing global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Regulatory Compliance
Own product compliance across eBrands’ portfolio, ensuring adherence to applicable local and international regulations (EU, UK, US, Canada, and other markets as required).
Assess compliance requirements for new brand acquisitions, new product launches, and market expansions.
Oversee product certifications, registrations, lab testing, technical documentation, and compliance files where required.
Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party labs to ensure ongoing compliance.
Monitor regulatory changes and proactively advise the business on impact and required actions.
eCommerce, B2B & Marketing Compliance
Ensure compliance with eCommerce and consumer protection laws, including product claims, pricing, labeling, warranties, and returns.
Review and approve marketing claims, product listings, packaging, and promotional content across DTC, B2B, and marketplace channels.
Support compliance for B2B sales models, including wholesale, distributors, and private-label arrangements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, and Customer Experience teams.
Provide clear, pragmatic guidance that enables teams to move quickly while staying compliant.
Embed compliance into eBrands’ acquisition, launch, and scaling processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Experience
Proven experience in a Compliance Officer, Regulatory Affairs, or Risk & Compliance role
Experience working in multi-brand, multi-market businesses, ideally in eCommerce and/or B2B
Strong understanding of international regulatory environments
Experience supporting fast-growing or acquisitive organisations is highly desirable
Technical & Regulatory Knowledge
Product compliance and regulatory requirements across key global markets
Consumer protection, advertising, and claims compliance
Key Skills
Strong risk assessment and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail with a commercial, solutions-focused mindset
Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into practical business guidance
Clear, confident written and verbal communication

Familiarity with ISO standards, quality systems, or certification frameworks
Experience with marketplace compliance (e.g. Amazon, Shopify)
Legal, regulatory, or compliance qualifications
