Qualifications • Required Education – JD • Actively barred in: Texas • Knowledgeable of collection laws in Texas, as well as applicable federal statutes such as the FDCPA is a plus • Entry-level attorneys encouraged to apply • Enthusiasm to go to court and develop litigation skills is fantastic Bonus Qualifications - Actively barred in additional states - Located near Dallas/Fort Worth or Houston & willing to make court appearances in either of those locations Responsibilities This role primarily focuses on: • Reviewing and approving routine/templated pleadings and letters in a high-volume environment • Reviewing and updating our case system as we receive incoming correspondence Secondary duties include: • Legal research and writing • Negotiate and work to resolve matters prior to trial • Make remote court appearances on behalf of our clients Pay & Benefits • Pay is dependent on level experience • Medical & dental subsidized • Paid time off & holidays • 401k with 6% match • Life insurance • Gym membership subsidized (if applicable through Lifetime Fitness) Please submit a cover letter in addition to your resume.
