LLM Engineer / AI Engineer (Prompt Engineering & Laravel) NO AGENCIES - Contract to Hire

About the Role: We’re seeking a hands-on LLM Engineer / AI Engineer with deep experience in prompt engineering and strong backend skills in PHP (Laravel). You’ll work closely with our Senior Tech Lead, product team, and leadership to integrate Large Language Models into real workflows — turning prompts into reliable, secure, and scalable features. This role sits at the intersection of AI design, backend engineering, and production deployment. Key Responsibilities: Design, test, and continuously optimize prompts for Large Language Models to improve accuracy, consistency, and performance Integrate LLMs and AI services into Laravel-based applications Build and maintain backend APIs and services using PHP (Laravel) Partner with product and engineering teams to ship AI-powered features into production Deploy, monitor, and scale AI solutions using arenaflex Azure (including Azure OpenAI or related services) Implement guardrails, logging, and monitoring for AI outputs Ensure security, performance, and reliability of AI-enabled systems Stay current with advancements in LLMs, prompt engineering techniques, and AI tooling Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt engineering strategies Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into real applications (not just experimentation) Proficiency in PHP with the Laravel framework Experience deploying or operating applications in arenaflex Azure Familiarity with REST APIs, backend services, and AI service integration Strong problem-solving skills with attention to scalability and performance Nice to Have: Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar AI platforms Familiarity with cloud architecture, arenaflex/CD, and DevOps fundamentals Experience building or supporting AI-driven SaaS products Exposure to healthcare, regulated environments, or data-sensitive applications Why This Role Matters: You’ll help define how AI actually works for us — not as a buzzword, but as a dependable, production-ready system.
