Shopify Headless Developer Needed – Luxury E-Commerce Storefront (Shared Backend)
We’re looking for an experienced Shopify headless developer to build a premium, luxury-focused storefront for our spirits brand, PreetLiquor.com. We currently operate on a single Shopify store that manages all products, inventory, orders, and fulfillment, and we want to create a separate high-end front-end experience that pulls product data from the existing Shopify backend via the Storefront API. The goal is a fast, editorial, luxury shopping experience that only displays selected products based on Shopify metafields.
Scope includes building the headless front end (preferably using Next.js or a similar modern framework), connecting to Shopify’s Storefront API, supporting product and collection pages, and integrating cart functionality with Shopify’s hosted checkout. The general catalog will remain on a standard Shopify theme under a separate domain, so both sites must share the same inventory and order flow without duplication.
Ideal candidates have proven experience with Shopify headless/Hydrogen or custom Storefront API builds, strong performance optimization skills, and a portfolio of premium or design-forward ecommerce sites. Please include examples of headless Shopify projects you’ve launched and your recommended tech stack for speed, scalability, and long-term maintenance.
