National Legal Director

Immigrant Connection is seeking an experienced National Legal Director to provide strategic leadership for immigration legal training, DOJ Recognition & Accreditation (R&A) readiness, and legal quality assurance across our national network. This senior legal role ensures that DOJ Accredited Representatives are competent, compliant, and well-supported; protecting immigrants, maintaining DOJ standards, and strengthening long-term site sustainability. What You’ll Do • Hold final authority over DOJ accreditation and renewal readiness • Oversee legal assessments, training pathways, and quality assurance • Ensure consistency and risk mitigation across a national legal network • Lead and support a distributed team of legal professionals • Guide legal content for national trainings and convenings • Oversee technical legal support and escalation processes What We’re Looking For • JD from an accredited law school; active U.S. law license • Significant experience in immigration law • Demonstrated experience with DOJ Recognition & Accreditation • Proven leadership in legal programs or teams • Strong judgment and decision-making skills Details • Schedule: Part-time (~20 hrs/week); full-time considered • Location: Remote (occasional travel required) • Reports to: Executive Director Why Join Immigrant Connection?
