Job Description Job Summary The Client Portfolio Manager I (CPM I) supports the successful delivery and growth of a defined portfolio of medical device testing and consulting projects across Eurofins Medical Device Services. This role is a combination of portfolio coordination and project services execution, serving as a bridge between Client Portfolio Managers, Project Services Coordinators, and Operations teams. The CPM I focuses on ensuring projects are initiated correctly, tracked effectively, and delivered with high quality and efficiency while gaining exposure to account management, financial fundamentals, and cross-functional coordination. This role is ideal for a professional who wants to build a career in client portfolio management, program coordination, and business operations within a regulated technical environment. Key Responsibilities Portfolio & Project Coordination • Support a defined portfolio of active client projects across multiple service lines (testing and consulting). • Assist and lead project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities. • Maintain portfolio tracking tools, timelines, risk logs, and action registers. • Ensure project documentation, scopes, and deliverables remain current and accurate. • Serve as a point of coordination between Client Portfolio Managers, Project Services Coordinators, and lab/consulting operations. Project Setup & Administrative Execution • Ensure projects are correctly set up in LIMS and CRM systems. • Verify completeness of project inputs: quotes, contracts, POs, payment status, samples, and documentation. • Proactively follow up on missing or incorrect information to prevent delays. • Maintain project records, data integrity, and traceability. Delivery Support & Quality • Support adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards for assigned projects. • Track project status and escalate risks or delays. • Assist in preparing meeting materials, status reports, and client communications. • Help manage documentation such as protocols, change orders, meeting minutes, and deliverables. Financial & Backlog Support • Assist in tracking project financials including POs, invoices, and backlog health. • Support forecasting accuracy through timely data updates and reporting. • Learn margin fundamentals by supporting scope discipline and change management processes. Client Experience Support • Contribute to a high-quality client experience by ensuring project logistics are accurate and well communicated. • Support senior CPMs in maintaining clear, professional client communication. • Ensure client requirements are documented and translated into operational execution. Process, Tools, and Continuous Improvement • Support the use of CRM, LIMS, and BI tools (e.g., Microsoft CRM, eLIMS, Power BI). • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, and project setup processes. • Contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs, templates, and playbooks. Success Metrics (KPIs) • On-time project setup and initiation • Accuracy and completeness of project documentation and system entries • Portfolio visibility and data integrity • On-time milestone achievement support • Reduction in project setup errors or delays • Positive internal stakeholder feedback • Contribution to client satisfaction and service quality Qualifications Required • 2-4 years of experience in project management, operations, or client services – preferably within a laboratory, technical, or regulated environment. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other project tracking tools. • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Life Sciences, or related field. • Experience with LIMS, CRM, ERP, or PSA systems. • Exposure to medical device, pharmaceutical, or laboratory service industries. • Basic understanding of project management methodologies or Lean/Six Sigma concepts.
