Location: Home based, Brazil
Territory: LATAM, focus on Brazil and Argentina, 50-70% travel

Purpose of Role
You will support activities across both Medical Affairs and Clinical Development objectives for a portfolio of pipeline products. You will serve as a key interface with clinical trial sites across all development programs, working closely with Clinical Development and Clinical Operations. Additionally, you will collaborate with Medical Affairs to identify and engage opinion leaders within the medical community to communicate non-promotional scientific and medical information regarding disease state and/or pipeline products across a range of therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities
• Clinical Trial Support: Engage with external experts on the generation of scientific data, including investigator – initiated studies
• Assist providers and their staff to identify patients, improve service delivery and enhance patient adherence
• Provide education to referral networks to increase trial recruitment rates
• Scientific Expertise: Keep up to date with latest scientific research and clinical data relevant to your focus molecule / drug
• Key Opinion Leader Engagement: Identify leading influential experts, key opinion leaders (KOLs) in fields of medicine or research relevant to the molecule/drug
• Build peer-to-peer relationships with KOLs
• Provide medical and scientific information to respond to KOLs’ technical questions about the molecule/drug
• Cross Functional Support: Respond to scientific enquiries from HCPs/ internal colleagues
• Develop and deliver scientific training courses to PIs/external/internal stakeholders
• Gather information and insights from KOLs/HCPs and report on this in a frequent and timely manner to help develop medical and clinical strategy
• Compliance: Operate in a highly ethical manner and comply with all laws, regulations and policies.
• Complete mandatory training in assigned timelines upon hire as well as when new policies, SOP’s, guidance are issued
Qualifications
• Ideally advanced degree (PhD, PharmD or MD) or MSc
• Bio-tech experience preferred
• Scientific expertise in the relevant therapeutic area of Sjogren’s syndrome, Myasthenia gravis (MG), immunology, neuromuscular, autoimmune diseases.
• 3+ years of previous industry medical affairs experience required, preferably in an MSL or a clinical trial liaison role and/or headquartered based medical affairs role and clinical trial background
• Fluent in English and fluency in the language of a local country is required
• Experience in clinical trial design, conduct and evaluation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to present medical/scientific information in a clear and concise manner
• Networking skills and confidence to interact with senior experts on a peer-to-peer level
• Critical data analysis skills
• Ability to function well, both independently and within a team setting, in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Able to travel internationally, up to ~50-70% of time
