Licensed CPA Accounting Manager (3 YRs+ Exp REQ)
We’re hiring an Accounting Manager who can lead both operational accounting work and high-level forensic engagements.
This role combines recurring client accounting oversight with forensic accounting, litigation support, divorce matters, and business valuation work. You will be responsible for managing engagements from start to finish, supervising staff, interacting directly with attorneys and business owners, and delivering work that holds up under scrutiny.
This is not a back-office bookkeeping role. This is leadership, judgment, and accountability.
What this role actually involves
You will manage a portfolio of accounting clients and oversee their monthly close process. That includes reviewing reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, inventory balances where applicable, and ensuring financial statements are accurate and delivered on time.
Beyond recurring accounting, you will lead forensic engagements. This includes analyzing financial records for litigation matters, tracing funds, identifying irregularities, reconstructing incomplete records, and preparing schedules that can withstand attorney and court review.
You will work on divorce and marital dissolution cases, including income normalization, cash flow analysis, lifestyle analysis, and identifying hidden or misstated income. You should be comfortable working with incomplete documentation and drawing defensible conclusions based on evidence.
You will participate in and help lead business valuation engagements. That includes gathering financial data, normalizing earnings, analyzing industry trends, assisting with discounted cash flow and market-based approaches, and preparing clear, supportable valuation reports.
You will collaborate directly with attorneys, clients, and internal tax professionals. Strong written communication is critical. Your work may be scrutinized in mediation or litigation settings, so organization and documentation standards must be high.
You will supervise associates and seniors across both recurring accounting and forensic engagements. That includes assigning work, reviewing deliverables, teaching investigative thinking, and ensuring quality control.
You will be responsible for deadlines, documentation standards, and engagement profitability. If something is off, we expect you to identify it and correct it.
What we’re looking for
You have experience managing accounting engagements and understand accrual accounting thoroughly. You have led or materially contributed to forensic accounting, litigation support, divorce financial analysis, or business valuation work.
You are comfortable analyzing large data sets, bank statements, general ledgers, and incomplete records. You can reconstruct financial activity when necessary and clearly explain your conclusions.
You understand how to document your work in a way that is defensible and professional.
You’ve managed staff before and know how to maintain high standards without micromanaging. You take ownership of results.
Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Excel is required. Experience with valuation modeling and financial analysis is strongly preferred.
CPA required.
CFE preferred.
ABV or valuation experience is a strong plus.
Why this role is different
This is not a narrow accounting position. You’ll operate across compliance, advisory, and investigative work. You’ll interact directly with attorneys and business owners and help shape high-stakes financial outcomes.
We are building a firm that values accountability, technical depth, and professionalism. We expect managers to own their engagements and elevate the people around them.
There is significant opportunity to grow into Senior Manager or Director-level roles as our forensic and advisory practice expands.
If you want a role where your analytical skills matter, your leadership is visible, and your work carries weight in real-world legal and financial decisions, this is it.
