Visual Designer IV - Remote (6036)

itD is seeking a Visual Designer to help define, evolve, and maintain scalable visual systems that support cohesive product experiences. This role plays a critical part in ensuring consistent, high-quality visual expression across digital products through thoughtful iconography, precise asset production, and strong collaboration with cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in icon system design, visual communication, and production workflows, along with a proven ability to deliver pixel-perfect assets that align with brand standards and enhance user experience at scale. Responsibilities: • Collaborate closely with designers, art directors, producers, and cross-functional partners to understand product goals and deliver high-quality iconography and visual assets. • Create, maintain, and evolve scalable icon systems, including individual icons and libraries across multiple sizes, weights, themes, and use cases. • Produce pixel-perfect, grid-aligned icons using universally recognized visual metaphors that clearly communicate complex concepts. • Extend and document icon standards, usage guidelines, and best practices in partnership with design leadership. • Manage asset workflows including exporting, naming conventions, versioning, and delivery. • Translate product requirements into intuitive, visually compelling, and emotionally engaging designs. • Incorporate partner and stakeholder feedback while maintaining design quality and consistency. • Provide and solicit constructive feedback to continuously elevate visual craftsmanship. Internal Responsibilities: • Attend regular internal practice community meetings. • Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership. • Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material). • Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice. • Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual). • Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities. Required Qualifications and Skills: • 4+ years of professional experience in visual design, graphic design, or production design across web, desktop, and mobile platforms. • Proven experience designing, implementing, and maintaining icon systems at scale. • Expert-level proficiency with Figma (libraries, components, styles, variables, and asset workflows) and Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. • Strong understanding of vector construction, grid systems, optical alignment, and accessibility considerations. • Demonstrated ability to explore and apply visual metaphors to clarify complex concepts for a global audience. • Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for pixel-perfect execution. • Strong collaboration, communication, and time-management skills in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications and Skills: • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system. • Understanding of design-to-development handoff and production QA processes. • Familiarity with 3D design, motion design, or animation. • Experience working within product-focused design environments. Education: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
