Solution/Cloud Architect

Design and Develop Cloud Solutions: The primary responsibility of a Solution/Cloud Architect is to design and develop innovative cloud solutions for our clients. This includes understanding the client's business requirements, evaluating different cloud technologies and platforms, and creating a secure and scalable solution that meets their needs. Collaborate with Clients and Team Members: A Solution/Cloud Architect will work closely with clients and team members to understand their needs, gather requirements, and collaborate on the design and implementation of cloud solutions. This requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Conduct Technical Assessments: Solution/Cloud Architects are responsible for conducting technical assessments of existing systems and infrastructure to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. This may involve analyzing current processes, identifying technical limitations, and proposing ways to optimize and modernize the client's IT environment. Stay Up-to-date with Emerging Technologies: To stay competitive in the rapidly evolving technology landscape, Solution/Cloud Architects must constantly stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in cloud computing. This includes attending industry conferences, participating in training programs, and conducting research on emerging technologies. Provide Technical Guidance and Leadership: Solution/Cloud Architects are expected to provide technical guidance and leadership to the development team during the implementation of cloud solutions. This includes identifying potential roadblocks, recommending solutions, and mentoring junior team members. Ensure Security and Compliance: Security and compliance are critical considerations in any cloud solution. Solution/Cloud Architects must ensure that all solutions meet IBM's security standards and compliance requirements, as well as any industry-specific regulations. Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues: Inevitably, technical issues will arise during the design and implementation of cloud solutions. Solution/Cloud Architects are responsible for troubleshooting and resolving these issues in a timely and efficient manner. Document and Present Solutions: As a Solution/Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for documenting the design and implementation of cloud solutions, including technical specifications IBM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
