Harmony in Numbers is a growing remote bookkeeping firm on a mission to provide our clients with peace of mind through C.A.R.E. (Collaboration, Accuracy, Reliability, and Empowerment). We aren't just looking for someone to "do the books"—we are looking for a technical expert who takes ownership, streamlines processes, and acts as a vital partner to our clients.
The Path: This is a Contract-to-Hire role. We want to ensure we are a perfect match for each other, with a transition to Full-Time Employment after 90 days.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will lead the financial health of a diverse client portfolio. You won't just be entering data; you'll be:
• The Architect: Managing the full accounting cycle in QBO, Xero and/or Zoho Books, from complex journal entries to final monthly financial statements.
• The Problem Solver: Diving into "clean-up" projects, including book-to-tax reconciliations, undeposited funds, and complex balance sheet audits.
• The Automator: Proactively using AI and tools like App Script to automate routine tasks and increase efficiency.
• The Integrator: Reconciling third-party app data and managing exports/imports into accounting software with surgical precision.
• The Partner: Assisting with client onboarding, budget forecasting, and supporting audits with meticulous documentation.
Who You Are (Requirements)
• The Veteran: You have 10+ years of proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
• The Academic: You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• The Techie: You are a QBO, Xero and/or Zoho Books power user. (QBO ProAdvisor is a major plus!)
• The Future-Thinker: You are comfortable using AI tools and App Script to streamline workflows.
• The Professional: You have high integrity, a reliable remote setup, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
