MUFG is seeking a highly motivated Security Engineer with a focus on cryptography to join the encryption services team. The encryption services team is responsible for ensuring that MUFG sensitive applications, data and systems are protected with strong cryptography and provide trusted platforms and services along with best practices and procedures to enable the business. Responsibilities • Support and mature public key infrastructure (PKI) including governance, strategy, implementation, operations, and alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements • Support data protection technologies and services, including but not limited to Thales CipherTrust, AWS Key Management Service, and OpenText Secure Data • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, cloud engineers, architects, and operations, to embed secure cryptographic controls and practices into the software delivery lifecycle. • Serve as a subject matter expert on cryptography, providing guidance and mentorship to team members. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the organization. • Stay up to date on the latest cryptographic advancements and regulations, including post quantum cryptography Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in a security analyst or security engineering role with exposure to cryptographic tools and services. • Understanding of data in motion protections, including Transport Layer Security (TLS), Secure Shell/Secure File Transfer (SSH/SFTP), IPSec/TLS VPN • Understanding of applied cryptography systems and primitives, including asymmetric cryptography (RSA, Elliptic Curve), symmetric cryptography (AES), and hash functions (SHA-2, SHA-3) • Experience in certificate lifecycle management systems such as Digicert, Venafi, or KeyFactor. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
