Expert AI Consultant / Technical Interviewer Needed to Assess AI Engineer Candidates

We are a large enterprise in the renewable energy sector. We are currently looking to hire an in-house AI Engineer to help drive our enterprise AI strategy, optimize our resources, and integrate AI tools into our operations. Because this is a new technical capability for our organization, our teams lack the technical expertise required to properly vet, test, and interview candidates for this role. We are looking to hire a Senior AI/ML Expert on a freelance basis to act as our technical hiring partner. Responsibilities: You will work closely with our hiring managers to ensure we select a highly competent and practical AI Engineer. Your responsibilities will include: Resume Shortlisting: Review a pool of applicants and shortlist the top candidates based on their real-world experience, tech stack, and portfolio. Assessment Design: Create a practical, technical assessment or case study relevant to enterprise AI and operational efficiency. Technical Interviews: Conduct 45-to-60-minute technical interviews with the top candidates to assess their skills, understanding of LLMs/machine learning algorithms, and problem-solving abilities. Final Evaluation: Provide a clear, written evaluation of each interviewed candidate, translating their technical competency into a recommendation for our team. Requirements: Senior-level, hands-on experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar. Proven experience hiring, interviewing, and building tech teams. Strong understanding of enterprise AI strategies and how to apply AI to optimize business processes or physical assets. Excellent English communication skills. Deliverables: An interview rubric, a technical assessment test, and final written evaluations for the interviewed candidates.
