Personal & Business Bookkeeper (Ongoing Role)
Description:
We’re a husband-and-wife team running multiple businesses, and our long-time bookkeeper is transitioning out of the role. Everything is well organized and up to date — we’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper to step in and maintain what’s already built, while helping us stay financially steady and compliant.
The right person will ensure bills are paid, recurring expenses are tracked, accounts are reconciled, and our accountant receives clean, ready-to-go files for tax filings. We’d like someone who is proactive, trustworthy, and comfortable working with both personal and business finances.
Responsibilities:
Maintain books weekly using QuickBooks (or similar).
Pay bills and manage recurring payments.
Reconcile accounts and accurately categorize expenses.
Prepare monthly financial summaries and reports.
Ensure compliance and readiness for tax filings (files packaged for accountant).
Track cash flow and provide updates on income cycles.
Support a smooth transition from our current bookkeeper.
Qualifications:
Proven bookkeeping experience (personal and small business).
Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Understanding of compliance and tax preparation basics.
Reliable, communicative, and discreet with sensitive financial information.
