Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director (Remote)

Aviate Creative is looking to hire a full-time, fully remote Senior Graphic Designer or Art Director that is prolific and consistent at producing high-quality branding, graphic design and web design. We are a very small, high-end creative agency that is on the rise. We work with many different industries, but focus primarily on manufacturing and technology. What We Are Looking For As the primary art director/senior graphic designer, you will be helping design, produce and manage original, captivating creative. Some things you’ll create include: branding, website design, information architecture, catalog design, posters, collateral, event promotions, e-mails, advertising, vehicle wraps, social media graphics, PowerPoint presentations, trade show graphics, infographics, and content marketing. It is a mix of original creative design and also production work for existing brands. You’ll be responsible for taking the projects from inception and strategy through design to completion. We have a high standard for quality and detail. Completion means finalizing files, preflighting and managing print jobs, managing web development, and launching websites. You’ll also help with Aviate’s marketing, social media and branding efforts. You will be responsible for some basic level project management, communicating and coordinating directly with clients regarding projects, revisions and presentations. You will be required to ensure a high-level of client satisfaction to ensure future repeat business. You should have good communication and presentation skills. At this time, you will be responsible for the majority of design projects and managing some freelancers. The position is expected to eventually grow to include managing a small team of designers. Because the company is small, everyone is expected to do what is necessary to complete the projects, promote the company, and keep the office running smoothly. Required » 8+ years experience » Must be located in the United States » Senior designer level experience, skills, and a high-quality aesthetic » Experience working within a creative agency » Minimum Associates Degree » Master level experience with Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator » Fluent on Mac » Senior level experience in web design, branding, print design & multi-page layout » Working knowledge of G-Suite, Word, PowerPoint and WordPress » Experience in information architecture (wireframes & sitemaps) » Have an interest in designing for manufacturing and tech • Experience within manufacturing and technology a plus • Illustration and/or photography skills a plus • Knowledge of web development, WordPress, CSS, and HTML a plus What It’s Like to Work at Aviate We try to keep it a fun, friendly and professional atmosphere. Position & Compensation The position is full-time and fully remote. Salary range is $70-$80k (Not including benefits) and will be based on experience. We offer a work from home stipend, a health insurance stipend, 15 days PTO, 10 paid holidays, performance bonuses, and a 20% commission on sales if you bring in new clients (not required).
