Compliance & Onboarding Specialist - Healthcare Staffing
CareerNation (a national healthcare staffing firm) is seeking a Compliance & On-Boarding Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will ensure that all healthcare professionals recruited and placed through our firm meet state, federal, and client-specific regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding quality, mitigating risk, and ensuring timely onboarding of clinical and non-clinical staff.
Starting Compensation: $25/hour. Room to grow based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Credentialing & Onboarding
• Collect, verify, and maintain healthcare worker credentials, licenses, certifications, and immunization records.
• Oversee background checks, drug screenings, I-9 verification, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of onboarding documents in alignment with client contracts and regulatory standards.
• Regulatory & Client Compliance
• Monitor changes in federal, state, and client compliance requirements (e.g., CMS, OSHA, DOH, Joint Commission).
• Audit personnel files and HRIS/ATS systems for accuracy and compliance readiness.
• Coordinate compliance submissions to clients, MSPs, and VMS systems.
• Policy & Process Management
• Develop, update, and enforce internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide training to recruiters and account managers on compliance requirements and documentation standards.
• Partner with operations and HR to streamline credentialing and compliance workflows.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain compliance dashboards, trackers, and audit logs.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to management and clients as required.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years of experience in compliance, credentialing, or healthcare staffing/recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and credentialing standards (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA).
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, or VMS/MSP platforms.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
