Part Time Dentist Contractor

Part-Time Independent Dentist Position: Part-Time Independent Dentist (Independent Contractor) Type of Hire: Contract / Independent Contractor Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote eligible) Hours: Up to 16 hours/week (with surge periods up to 40 hrs/week, 3–4 weeks/year) Key Responsibilities • Provide clinical guidance on the appropriateness and medical necessity of dental care services for plan members • Review and process dental preauthorization requests • Perform claims adjudication in accordance with plan guidelines • Review and evaluate member and provider appeals Qualifications & Requirements • DMD or DDS degree from an accredited School of Dentistry • 5–10 years of clinical dentistry experience • Active, non-restricted Arizona dental license • Active malpractice insurance coverage • Must reside in the state of Arizona • Clinical experience treating pediatric patients, including cases involving nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, and general anesthesia — Pediatric Dentist background preferred Work Arrangement This is a remote, part-time independent contractor engagement. Standard weekly commitment is up to 16 hours per week. During peak review periods (approximately 3–4 weeks per year), availability of up to 40 hours per week may be required.
