Telemetry Registered Nurse - Rochester, New York

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry to support a busy 37-bed Med/Tele Complex Care unit. This contract role offers a critical position providing patient-centered nursing care on the night shift, operating 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The position requires flexibility, including floating to other units and stepping into charge roles as needed, with training provided. Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in an acute Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting • Accurately document patient information using EPIC electronic charting system • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients during overnight hours • Flexibly support staffing needs, including floating to other units as required • Uphold facility policies and standards, including adherence to infection control and safety protocols Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active New York State RN license and current AHA BLS certification • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in acute Med Surg/Telemetry nursing; 2 years preferred • For non-U.S. trained nurses, at least 2 years of recent U.S. work experience required • Ability to work at least one holiday during the contract period • Flexibility to work either 36 or 48 hours per week, including 1 weekend shift weekly or 2 every other weekend Location Highlights: This position is based in Rochester, NY, a city known for its vibrant arts scene, rich history, and diverse culinary offerings.
