Adjunct Instructor – DNP Project Chair (Online)

In keeping with our mission and vision statement, Maryville University actively seeks adjunct faculty members who are experts in their fields and have a passion for teaching. Adjunct faculty are an integral part of the University's learning community. The Catherine McAuley School of Nursing is searching for committed and qualified adjunct faculty to serve as DNP project chairs for students in our BSN-DNP, DNP-NP, and DNP programs. Chairs will be assigned six students enrolled in the program and are expected to work with them throughout the 18-month program. Chairs work remotely throughout the year and are required to attend (virtually) the student's DNP scholar's day presentation. The chair will work with a designated faculty mentor. The faculty mentor is available to provide support and answer any questions the chair has about the process. NOTE: Doctoral-level transcripts are required to complete the application (official or unofficial) Minimum Qualifications: • DNP or PhD in Nursing or related field Preferred Qualifications • Experience with supervision of doctoral projects • Doctoral-level teaching experience Requirements: Adjunct Instructors will be provided orientation and training on the Canvas LMS and will be required to complete a self-paced online training course covering techniques for online facilitation and student engagement. An offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background screening.
