[Remote] Breaking New Content Writer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. 24 Seven Talent is seeking an experienced Content Writer with a strong journalism background to support breaking news and ongoing coverage. This role focuses on writing timely, accurate, and engaging content for a national audience, playing a key role in discovering, pitching, prioritizing, and producing relevant stories. Responsibilities • Monitor multiple news sources, feeds, and platforms to identify the latest and most relevant stories for a national audience • Write clear, accurate, and compelling content including: • News articles and features • Short- and long-form scripts • Newsletters and other editorial content • Please note: no social media content • Cover breaking news in real time, quickly gathering facts and context while maintaining accuracy and editorial standards • Pitch original story ideas regularly, with a focus on timely, relatable, and entertaining content that connects to current events • Ensure all content adheres to journalistic standards, including fact-checking, source verification, and appropriate attribution • Optimize story framing and structure for maximum clarity, engagement, and relevance Skills • Professional experience as a journalist, reporter, or news/content writer (digital, print, or broadcast) • Demonstrated ability to write clean, accurate copy on deadline, especially in breaking news situations • Experience working in a newsroom or fast-paced editorial environment where prioritization and quick decision-making are essential Company Overview • 24 Seven partners with companies to get marketing, creative, and digital work done by providing the right talent, innovation, and insights.
