Designer
Salt XC is a North American marketing agency focused on creating connected experiences through innovative design. The Designer role involves translating ideas into design systems that connect brands and audiences, contributing to various projects including social and digital campaigns, brand identity, and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Translate brand strategy and guidelines into visually consistent, high-quality creative assets across digital, social, print, and experiential mediums
- Execute designs that express the brand’s personality while adapting flexibly across formats, audiences, and campaign contexts
- Develop cohesive design systems that support scalability and consistency across internal and client teams
- Maintain organized working files, version control, and delivery accuracy for all assigned projects
- Collaborate with Art Directors and Creative Leads to ensure execution aligns with brand tone, messaging, and audience intent
- Build and refine presentation decks, concept boards, and visual narratives that clearly articulate creative intent
- Present work in internal and client meetings with confidence, providing clear rationale behind design choices
- Tailor communication to audience needs — adapting visuals and explanations for creative peers, strategists, and clients alike
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Accounts, Strategy, Production) to ensure design alignment with project goals and client expectations
- Translate briefs and strategy into creative design concepts that connect business objectives to audience needs
- Contribute to brainstorms and ideation sessions with original, insight-driven ideas that expand creative territories
- Apply strategic awareness to design decisions — ensuring every visual solution serves a purpose within the broader campaign or experience
- Partner with Copywriters, Strategists, and Art Directors to ensure integrated storytelling and creative cohesion
- Execute with precision and care across all aspects of visual design — including layout, typography, color, composition, and motion
- Maintain consistency and polish across all deliverables, ensuring outputs meet or exceed SALT’s creative quality benchmarks
- Continuously refine design outputs based on feedback and emerging trends in digital, social, and experiential media
- Bring curiosity and experimentation to the craft — exploring new styles, tools, and technologies to elevate creative work
Skills
- 1–5 years of experience as a Graphic or Digital Designer within an agency or creative environment
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
- Strong understanding of design for digital and social platforms
- Solid grasp of typography, color, layout, and motion fundamentals
- Experience developing brand identity and campaign systems
- Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting work to peers and clients
- Ability to manage time effectively and deliver to deadlines with consistency and care
- Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or related field preferred
